To make an appointment, you must have a referral from your family physician or health care specialist. All procedures at Atlas Endoscopy are insured services that are covered by the Ontario Hospital Insurance Plan "OHIP". However for our procedures to be covered under the plan, OHIP requires a referral from your family physician or specialist.
We apologize for the inconvenience however if you do not have a family doctor, you may also visit your local Walk-In Clinic and have the doctor on staff provide you with some assistance. In those circumstances that you cannot locate a doctor, please call our office and we will do our best to assist you in this matter to obtain you a referral.
Once you have obtained your referral, your doctor will fax us the form and our staff will call you to schedule your appointment by phone during regular office hours. This will take place within 5-7 business days of our office receiving the document.
At the time of the appointment booking, our staff will provide pre-procedure instructions by mail, fax or email. You can also obtain the pre-procedure instructions on this web site. They are located in the How to Prepare section of this website.
Please note:
Kindly notify us 48 hours prior to your appointment if you will be unable to keep your scheduled appointment, so the time might be made available to someone else.
No Fees
Atlas Endoscopy does not charge any administration fee to its patients. All that is required from the patient is a valid OHIP card.
Patients without OHIP coverage are billed according to the current OHIP Fee Schedule and are required to pay cash at the time of our service.
Atlas Endoscopy accepts referrals from family practitioners and specialists, anywhere in Canada and the United States.
